Newly elected executives of the Junior Common Room (JCR) have been inducted into office to steer the affairs of students for the 2024/2025 academic year. The seven member executives are Miss Liticia Brantuo (President), Chelsea Adoma (Vice President), Yaa Asiedua Yeboah (General Secretary), Joanna Kiki Azasi (Organizing Secretary), Hillary Asabea Kwakye (Financial Secretary), Marcia Afia Afriyie (Sports Secretary), and Miriam Chigabagyea Avogo (Legal Adviser). This is the third batch of an all female JCR executive body following the expulsion of male students to the diaspora halls in August 2022.
Miss Liticia Brantuo in her inaugural address showed gratitude to the student body and management for the opportunity to preside over student affairs in the hall. She pledged that her team of executives will work diligently and promptly to address the concerns of students in the hall. She further noted that the promotion of students welfare for sound academic pursuit is key on the agenda of her administration.
The Hall Master, Prof. Roger A. Atinga congratulated the executives and gave assurance of his immense commitment to support the executive achieve their vision. He encouraged them to work toward advancing the ideals of the hall by making it a duty to pursue knowledge, honour the values of the hall and serve in the interest of students. The Senior Tutor, Dr. Daniel Darko; Deputy Senior Tutor, Dr. Yvonne Agbetsoamedo; and the SCR president, Dr. Richard Minkah took turns to congratulate and extend their well wishes to the executives for a successful tenure.
