Hall management orients national service personnel

On Wednesday October 2, 2024, National Service Personnel (NSP) posted to the hall for the 2024/2025 academic years were given orientation to instil values, ethics and professionalism in the discharge of their duties. This was the first that a competitive procedure was established to recruit suitable NSS for various units in the hall. The event also marked the first time that NSP were formerly welcomed and oriented to commence work. There were ten short listed applicants out of which 6 were recruited after demonstrating competence during the interview process. The recruited NSS comprising Abass Fuseini, Bertha A. Atiwine, Edward Baffoe, Ntow Akotua Daniel, Ntow Simon Ansah and Danso Kwabena Asare received complimentary comments for choosing to serve the hall.

In his remarks, the Hall Master, Prof. Roger Atinga admonished that national is a period of sacrifice to acquire new set of skills, competence and valuable experience prior to employment. He emphasised the importance of discipline, diligence, commitment, professionalism, teamwork, trust, respect, and shared problem solving as fundamental to being effective, efficient and an achiever during and after the national service period. The Senior Tutor and Deputy Senior Tutor highlighted the need for the service personnel to embrace positive attitude and good conduct throughout the service.
