Vision

We aspire to form a critical mass of stakeholders that contribute meaningfully to advancing the course of the Mensah Sarbah Hall.

Mission

To propel development in the Hall by harnessing individual and collective efforts through networking, idea sharing and shared vision.

  1. Encourage, facilitate, and promote close social networking among the Mensah Sarbah Hall Alumni.
  2. Provide a platform to promote a common development agenda in the Mensah Sarbah Hall and the University of Ghana at large.
  3. Provide opportunities for the Alumni Association to make positive contributions to the betterment of the Mensah Sarbah Hall.
  4. To provide a standardized organizational structure and coordinated forum for Alumni activities.
  5. Promote a shared vision and agenda that enhances the wellbeing and professional growth of the Alumni.
  6. Cultivate Mensah Sarbah Hall Alumni continued interest in the Hall.
  7. Provide a platform for peer-to-peer support among the Mensah Sarbah Hall Alumni community.
  8. Nature and strengthen the bonds of friendship among the Mensah Sarbah Hall Alumni.
  • Establish and grow various chapters and improve their viability.
  • Facilitate access to scholarship opportunities among needy but brilliant students in the Hall.
  • Issue blogs and eNewsletters conveying opinion piece of the Alumni.
  • Raise funds to support or undertake specific projects in the Hall.
  • Regular meetings to deliberate on issues affecting the Alumni front and the Mensah Sarbah Hall.  
  • Interaction with Hall management and the JCR to identify and address developmental needs.

Our major duties

  • To nature and strengthen the bonds of friendship established in Sarbah Hall
  • Oversee, monitor and support our various Chapters to grow their viability.
  • To Identify and facilitate Scholarships yearly to academically qualified undergraduate Vikings.
  • Issue yearly E-Newsletter conveying news about the Alumni, officials, and partners.
  • To raise funds to support or undertake specific projects agreed as Vikings 

We are more than 153K members and growing every year. We serve as a valuable resource to strengthen friendships, promote networking and give back to the Mensah Sarbah Hall community through mentorships, guidance, internship opportunities, fundraising and other interventions.

Meet the First Female Vice-Chancellor of UG, and a Viking!
Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo is a renowned Linguist and the current Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Legon. Until her appointment, she was the Pro Vice-Chancellor for Academics and Students Affairs at the University of Ghana. 
 
She is an accomplished academic and university administrator, with over twenty years of experience in the higher education sector. She stands for innovation, resourcefulness, and tact in her professional engagements. 
 
As Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Appiah Amfo’s vision is to create a culture that promotes research, teaching and learning, administrative processes and extension activities driven by technology and anchored in humanism.
 
The Viking community prides itself on her achievement and impact-driven leadership.
