The Mensah Sarbah Hall has once again proven its dominance in the University’s 2024/2025 interhall sports competition by winning 14 trophies in 28 competitions. The gallant sports men and women led by the Sports Secretary Miss Vanessa Talata Azangbeo and Coach Petras Anaab Ali presented the trophies to hall management. The hall clinched 13 gold, 7 silver, 1 bronze and the overall trophy for athletics. The swimming team was highly decorated with 10 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze surpassing the 2023/2024 performance. Coach Ali highlighted that although the hall has been the defending champions for the interhall athletics competition for the past four academic years, this year’s trophy count represents 100% increment over last year, which demonstrate the commitment, passion and excellence of the sports team. He encouraged the sports team to continue to aim for more laurels.



Miss Azangbeo thanked hall management for the support and indicated the need for to provide accommodation and more logistical support to aid training activities of the sports teams. The Senior Tutor, Dr. Daniel Darko thanked the sports team for the incredible performance and assured them that the hall will continue to do everything possible to incentivise every deserving sports person in the hall. The hall master, Prof. Roger Atinga, expressed gratitude to the team for the unwavering commitment and exceptional performance. He noted that the team has made significant difference from the past, which is the hall mark of hard work and dedication.
