The YFM, a subsidiary of Global Media Alliance has partnered with the Mensah Sarbah Hall to deliver a star-studded hall week celebration. The even dubbed Retuorover was the sponsorship name of the hall week celebration powered by the youth radio station YFM Ghana and the hall’s JCR which ran from July 15-19, 2025. The name “Returnova” signifies the return and rejuvenation of the hall week celebration which had been banned due to COVID-19 restrictions. The week-long celebration featured diverse programs and events such as clean-up exercises, a football gala, a cooking competition, health screenings, and a health walk to Aburi. The celebration was characterised by a vibrant week of music, culture, art and entertainment, showcasing the hall’s dynamism and fostering a sense of community and social empowerment among students.
In his remarks, the hall master, Prof. Roger A. Atinga expressed delight for the partnership noting that YFM was the best choice because it’s the leading Ghanaian urban and lifestyle radio with a youthful listenership and capable of offering a bundle of exciting cutting edge-programmes fused with entertainment, education and funfair. He however, cautioned students to celebrate peacefully.
On his part, the program manager of FYM Rev. Erskine Amo Whyte said, the partnership was an opportunity to bring an unforgettable week of entertainment and engagement to the Mensah Sarbah Hall and the University of community. Both parties pledged to strengthen the partnership by signing a 3 year MOU with mutual benefits for future events in the hall.
