Mensah Sarbah Hall has officially launched a modern Guest Lodge as part of its efforts to expand its accommodation services beyond resident students and enhance support for the University community. The facility is designed to provide comfortable, convenient, and affordable on-campus accommodation for visiting scholars, guest lecturers, international prospective students, and other official guests.
The fully furnished, move-in-ready lodge features a spacious living and dining area that flows seamlessly into a well-equipped kitchenette, a tranquil bedroom designed for comfort and relaxation, a dedicated workspace, and reliable Wi-Fi connectivity, creating an ideal environment for both work and leisure.
Speaking at the launch, the Hall Master, Prof. Roger A. Atinga, explained that the initiative was in response to numerous requests for quality on-campus accommodation for visitors affiliated with the University. He noted that the Guest Lodge offers a convenient and cost-effective alternative to commercial hotels while providing guests with easy access to the University’s academic and social environment. He further noted that “the establishment of this facility reflects commitment to improving the services of the Hall and supporting the University’s internationalisation agenda by providing quality accommodation for local and international guests.”
The Most Senior Fellow of the Hall, Prof. Josephine Dzahene-Quarshie, commended Hall Management for the initiative, describing it as a significant addition to the Hall’s facilities. She urged management to maintain high standards of service delivery and facility management to ensure that guests enjoy a pleasant and memorable stay.
The Guest Lodge is expected to strengthen the Hall’s hospitality services while contributing to the University’s efforts to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for visitors globally. The launch ceremony was attended by members of Hall Management and staff, including the Senior Tutor, Dr. Daniel Darko; the Deputy Senior Tutor, Dr. Joycelyn Quansah; and the Hall Bursar, Mrs. Eunice Lamptey.
