The President of the Mensah Sarbah Hall (MSH) Alumni Association, His Eminence Francis Albert Seth Nyonyo and other officials of the Hall have hosted about 800 students of the Ghana Muslim Students Association (GMSA) to an Eid-al Fitr dinner at the UG Central Mosque.
The gathering’s objective was to provide further support for Muslim students at the University of Ghana.
Addressing the students, His Eminence Nyonyo noted that the Abrahamic religion is the foundation of both Islam and Christianity.
“It’s a joy for me to share with you because we all come from the same source, Abraham’s source,” he said.
According to Dr. Roger Atinga, Mensah Sarbah Hall Master, ‘Fasting’ as one of the five pillars of Islam, has long been known to Muslims to offer spiritual privileges. He therefore emphasised the importance of observing the fast throughout Ramadan and how much the practice means to every muslim.
