The Ghana police Service and the JCR have established a collaborative working arrangement to promote a peaceful residential environment for sound academic pursuit. The collaboration was spearheaded by the Legon Police Department and the Airport Divisional Police Command. Staff of the Ghana police Service (GPS) highlighted that collaboration between the police and students is crucial to prevent crimes.
This collaboration provides students with the opportunity to freely share ideas and maintain close contact with the police on security issues on campus. The collaboration is also intended to help build trust in police efforts at crime prevention on campus. Students were given the opportunity to ask questions on managing security on campus and getting timely police intervention during crimes.
